This Sunday, we’ll celebrate Palm Sunday. And we’ll hear from Psalm 22.
Psalm 22 was written by David. In it, he recounts how his enemies have surrounded him and completely devastated him, and how he desperately needs God to save him. He also resolves to worship God, and to invite others to worship God with him, until all the earth joins in proclaiming His glory.
Psalm 22 is referenced extensively in the New Testament around the accounts of Jesus’s crucifixion.
Together, we’ll consider the suffering of David, and the sovereignty of God in the midst of it, and how Jesus shines as our glorious savior who suffered in our place.
