This Sunday, we will hear from Romans 2:12-29.
Having already established that God is right and just to punish Gentiles who have worshipped other gods (Romans 1), Paul turns in Romans 2 to establish that God is right and just to punish people within the nation of Israel.
In 2:12-29, Paul continues this argument. God’s judgment is coming against the nation of Israel. They are not entitled to special treatment from God because of their ethnicity, or religious heritage. God will judge everyone (Jew and Gentile) based on how they live. And based on what is in their heart.
