This Sunday, we will hear from Luke 13:6-9 – The Parable of the Barren Fig Tree. Jesus tells the story of a man who has a tree that does not bear fruit. And he purposes to cut it down. The only thing stopping him is his vinedresser, who asks him to allow him to cultivate it for one more year.
We will consider together what this parable tells us about the character of God. How He calls us to be fruit-bearing Christians. How He brings judgment upon those people who refuse to bear fruit. And how He is patient and kind with His people as they attempt to do so.
See you Sunday.
