Why did Jesus have to be baptized? And what was the significance of His baptism? And why does Luke bother with giving us this extensive genealogy of Jesus?

This Sunday, we’ll be in Luke 3:21-38. Studying Jesus’s baptism, and His genealogy. We’ll see how Jesus was the fulfillment of every prophecy and promise and type in the Old Testament. And how He came as the 2nd Adam, and bore the wrath of God, so that we can be reconciled to God.
