This Sunday, we will hear from 1 Thessalonians 1:2-10.  In it, Paul (and Silas and Timothy) encourage the believers in Thessalonica because of their exemplary faith, and commend them in how they heard the word of God, and received it, with great joy, even in the midst of persecution and suffering.  We will consider what it looks like to respond rightly to God’s Word in our lives, and to wait patiently for Jesus to save us from the wrath of God.
