This Sunday, we will be in 1 Timothy 1:12-20.
In this text, Paul goes out of his way to point out that he is the worst of sinners. And yet, even in spite of his sin, Jesus has come, and Jesus has saved him. He goes on to explain that because of this, we can have confidence. Every person on planet earth – regardless of how bad they are – can have confidence that Jesus will save them if they turn to him. Because every person can look at Paul and think: “Wow! If God could save Paul, knowing how bad of a sinner he was, then I guess God can save me!”
Together, we’ll consider the glory of God, and the extent of our own sin. And as well do, we’ll marvel at the beauty and grace of Jesus, who has saved us from our sin. And we will encourage one another to fight the good fight, and to persevere in the faith together.
See you Sunday.
