This Sunday, we will be hearing from Luke 9:1-9. In it, Jesus gathers his 12 disciples together, and gives them power and authority for ministry, and then sends them out all over to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal.

We will consider how God has given us, as Christians, the power and the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. And how He has called us, as His Church, to proclaim the gospel to to the onlooking world around us. And how He has called us to travel lightly through this life toward heaven, since this world is not our permanent home.
