This Sunday, we finish our sermon series working through the Minor Prophets, and we will be looking at the book of Malachi.

Malachi is the final book in the Old Testament, and it was the last book to be written. Immediately after the book of Malachi was written, centuries transpire without any new Biblical texts. The radio silence continues all the way until Jesus’s life and ministry.

Malachi instructs the people of God to repent of their sin, and he identifies a number of ways that they have rebelled against God. He calls them to obey the law of Moses, and to wait for God’s prophet, who will come to usher in the great and awesome Day of the Lord.
