In recent weeks, we have seen James address wealthy believers, and call them to trust God with their future (James 4:13-17). And we have seen James address wealthy unbelievers, and warn them against enriching themselves by oppressing poor people (James 5:1-6).
This week, in James 5:7-12, James turns his attention those very people who are being oppressed, and sinned against, and who are suffering. He calls them to be patient, and wait for God to help them and save them. He calls them to listen, and learn, and be godly, and be truthful, as they sojourn through life in this world toward their heavenly home.
Come join us this Sunday, as we consider together what it looks like to suffer well, and patiently walk through this life toward eternity with God.
