This Sunday, we will be hearing from Luke 9:18-27. In it, we see Jesus affirm His identity as the Son of God, and the Messiah who is anointed to save God’s people. We also see Jesus communicate that his ultimate mission is to suffer, and die, and be raised from the dead for His people. Finally, we see Jesus instruct the people present to follow him in self-denial and costly discipleship, holding on to the hope of eternity with Him.
