This Sunday, we will be hearing from the minor prophet Micah.
Micah warns God’s people of the coming wrath of God, because of how they worship idols, and take advantage of their neighbor, and disregard the word of God, and practice empty religious rituals, while neglecting the weightier matters of justice, and kindness, and humility.
He also tells of a Messiah from Bethlehem, who is going to come to God’s people, and gather them up from among the nations, and bring them to the presence of God, forgive their sin, and live with them, and rule over them in victory and peace and prosperity forever.
We’ll consider what it looks like for us, as Christians, to repent of our idolatry and sin against God and our neighbor. And what it looks like for us to trust in Christ, and wait patiently for his salvation.
