This Sunday, we’ll be looking at the book of Obadiah. Obadiah’s prophetic ministry largely centers around the nation of Edom, and how God’s judgment is coming against them because of their sin against the nation of Israel.

We’ll take a look at the history of the relationship between the brothers Jacob and Esau. And we’ll consider how the relationship between the nations Israel and Edom grew out of the relationship between Jacob and Esau. We’ll consider the dangers of pride, jealousy, anger, revenge, and grudge-holding; and we will consider the necessity of repentance and love of neighbor in the Christian life.
