This Sunday, we will continue our journey through the gospel of Luke, looking at Luke 10:1-24. In this text, Jesus sends 72 of his followers out into various towns and villages to preach the gospel, and to proclaim the coming of the Kingdom of God, and to warn of the coming wrath of God.

Sometime later, they return, thrilled at the power of God that they have seen on display. And Jesus reminds them of that the forgiveness of sin, and citizenship in God’s Kingdom is even more glorious than the displays of power that they have been seeing.

Together, we’ll examine the text, and consider what it looks like for us to be on mission with God, and to rightly understand and appreciate the salvation that He has given us.
