This Sunday, we will examine Luke 7:11-17 – where Jesus raises a widow’s son. Jesus walks into a town, sees a funeral procession, and sees widow grieving the death of her only son, and proceeds to raise the son from the dead, and reconnect him with his mother.

We will consider together the inevitability of pain, grief, sadness, and suffering in this life. And how Jesus loves to draw near to people who are hurting, and restore them, and bless them, and give them new life. And how God’s people are called to respond to the work of Christ by acknowledging Him, trusting Him, worshipping Him, and proclaiming Him to the world.
