Book for Claude Marshall
Many of you know Claude Marshall.  He was the pastor of James River Community Church from 2006-2016.  Since he left JRCC, he has been a pastor at another church in our consortium (Williamsburg Community Chapel).  Three years ago, Claude was diagnosed with stage 4 advanced prostate cancer.  Recently, his condition required him to step away from full-time ministry at WCC.  And now, he and his wife Leigh are about to relocate to Durham, NC so that they can be closer to Duke Cancer Center (where he has been receiving treatment).

To celebrate Claude and Leigh and their decades of ministry, WCC is putting together a collaborative book for friends and family to share a memory, prayer, or note of encouragement.  If you would like to participate, please visit wcchapel.org/claude.  (It will be open until March 17.)

 

Meals for Suffolk Winter Shelter program
February 26 - March 3

JRCC has committed to providing a week’s worth of meals to people experiencing homelessness who are staying in the Suffolk Winter Shelter program.  We need people to prepare meals and bring them to the church building, and to take those meals from our church building to the hotel in Suffolk.  If you are able, please sign up to help!  See Natasha Scully if you have any questions.

 

Consortium Marriage Retreat
March 1-2

The Hampton Roads Consortium is hosting a marriage retreat!  Come renew your vision for a thriving, God-honoring marriage.  And strengthen your commitment to seek and follow Christ together with your (current or future) spouse.  Information and registration can be found here.

 

Member Meeting

If you are a member, or are interested in learning more about membership, come join us to pray together and handle family business.

 

Easter Egg Hunt
Saturday, March 16
10:30am - 12pm

Families with kids up to 12 years old, please join us!  We will have a scavenger hunt for our older kids, simple games for our younger ones, and an Easter Egg Hunt for everyone.  Then we will finish out our time together with an Easter devotional and pizza together.  Please RSVP here if your family plans to join us.  

We need donations of individually wrapped candy and small trinkets.  And people to help serve (setting up, cleaning up, etc.).  Please see Penny or Jeri if you can help, or if you have any questions.
